There are two options to get to Paros.
You can either fly to Athens and then take a connecting flight to Paros;
or (typically from London) you can fly to one of the islands (Mykonos is the closest) and get a ferry…

Getting to the Island by Plane

You can fly directly to Athens from most destinations in the UK.
(For our friends in the northwest there are flights from Manchester
but be aware it will be an early start!)

From Athens there are hourly flights direct to Paros which only take 40mins. You will however have to re check-in for these flights if coming from the UK in most cases. Paros airport is located about 12 miles from Naoussa.

Airlines that travel to Paros from Athens include: Aegean Airlines, Olympic
Airlines, and Sky Express. From Paros airport you would need transportation to Naoussa (about a 20 minute drive).

Getting to the Island by Ferry

Depending on your departure point from the UK there are also direct flights to Mykonos and Santorini and you can then reach Paros by ferry.

If you are flying into Mykonos there are regular ferries departing from the new port just outside Mykonos town. These ferries usually take just under an hour and can be direct to Paros.

If you are flying into Santorini there are ferries departing regularly from the main port. These take between 2 to 3 hours.

The ferry will come into the main port of Parikia, you will need transportation to Naoussa (a 20 minute drive – many hotels offer transfers). Please note that ferry crossings can be delayed or cancelled last minute due to strong winds and sea conditions. We would also suggest the ferry route is for those sturdy on their feet! We wouldn’t let this discourage you from taking the ferry though (we always take the ferry from Mykonos).

Ferry schedules tend to be more complete nearer the time (they may appear more sparse if you look a number of months in advance). We recommend booking them around April time. In any case, try to book them a least a month before, as they may sell out.

If this all sounds a bit intimidating, please do chat to us. We’ve done it many times and rarely have any problems. Whilst it will be a big day of travel for some, try to space out the connections in case there any minor delays.
